𝐀 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩

On April 30, the faculty members of the Baptist Bible Seminary and Institute (BBSI) College Department stepped away from their usual classroom responsibilities to engage in a day of profound reflection, professional growth, and academic fellowship. The team traveled to the campus of FEBIAS College of Bible to participate in the Philippine Association of Bible and Theological Schools (PABATS) Luzon General Assembly.

The event was centered around a vital and timely theme: "Faculty Development on Spirituality." In the demanding field of theological education, the spiritual health of the educator is the cornerstone of effective teaching. While academic excellence is a hallmark of BBSI, this assembly provided a dedicated space for our faculty to focus on the "being" behind the "doing." The sessions emphasized that for a seminary to produce spiritually vibrant and resilient leaders, the faculty must first model a deep, authentic, and evolving relationship with Christ.

The day was filled with insightful plenary sessions and workshops designed to nourish the soul. It served as a reminder that a professor’s spiritual vitality is the wellspring from which their teaching flows. By prioritizing their own spiritual development, our faculty ensures they are providing students with more than just academic information; they are providing spiritual impartation.

Beyond the formal sessions, the assembly offered a wonderful opportunity for academic fellowship. It was a joy to reconnect with colleagues and peers from various theological institutions across Luzon, sharing the unique challenges and triumphs of ministry in the 21st century. We extend our sincere gratitude to FEBIAS College of Bible for their warm hospitality and excellent hosting of this year’s assembly.

As our faculty returns to the BBSI campus, they bring with them fresh perspectives and a renewed passion for our mission. We are excited to see how the insights gained from this assembly will continue to shape our community and empower us to equip the next generation of Kingdom leaders.
