Who we are

Baptist Bible Seminary & Institute, Inc. (BBSI) is the personal information controller for the information you give us when you apply, enroll or use the Enrollment Portal. Cortanatech Solutions, Inc. operates the website and enrollment system for BBSI as its personal information processor.

What we collect

• Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number and addresses.
• Application details: the program you apply for and your previous schooling.
• Your church affiliation and standing, which the Data Privacy Act treats as sensitive personal information.
• Student profile details: family and guardian information, supporters, languages, interests, and the personal background questions in the student information form, which may include sensitive personal information.
• Documents you upload, such as records, certificates, photos and your signature.
• For applicants under 18, information provided by or with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Why we use it

• To evaluate your application and contact you about it.
• To process your enrollment, course load, fees and student records.
• To provide pastoral and student support.
• To meet requirements of the law and of government education agencies.

Who can see it

Only authorized BBSI staff who need it for admissions, registrar, finance and student services work can access your information. Cortanatech can access it only to run and support the system for BBSI. We do not sell your information.

Service providers

To run the enrollment system, your information is processed by service providers acting for BBSI: database and file storage hosting, website hosting, email delivery for messages about your application, and a security check that protects our forms from automated abuse. Some of these providers may store or process information outside the Philippines. Other than these providers, we share your information only when the law requires it or with your consent.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above and as required by law and by education regulations. Information is disposed of securely when it is no longer needed.

How we protect it

Information is sent over encrypted connections, uploaded documents are stored privately, and staff access is controlled by role.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) you have the right to be informed, to access your information, to object, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have your information erased or blocked, to data portability, to claim damages, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
