Alumni Highlight: From Scholar to Educator, Ms. Jemima Bermejo, LPT
It is with great joy and pride that the Baptist Bible Seminary & Institute (BBSI) celebrates the significant milestone of one of our exceptional graduates. Ms. Jemima Bermejo, LPT, is not just a recent pass-er of the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT), but a shining example of the mission-driven educator we strive to cultivate at BBSI.
A graduate of our Bachelor of Arts in Theology—Christian Education program, Ms. Bermejo recently passed the March 2026 LEPT, a rigorous assessment that marks a pivotal step in her professional calling. This accomplishment, celebrated by the entire BBSI community and a key factor in the Seminary's recent 100% passing rate achievement, is a direct result of her unwavering dedication, intellectual curiosity, and deep-seated faith.
The entire BBSI family, from the administration to her former professors, echoes the sentiment displayed in her congratulatory photo: “We are proud of you!”
In an exciting and testament-filled turn of events, Ms. Bermejo is continuing her journey with BBSI. We are thrilled to announce that she has accepted a position as a faculty member within our Basic Education Department for the next school year, marking her 2nd year here at BBSI Chirstian Academy.
It is a rare and wonderful thing to see an institution’s graduate return so quickly to contribute to the formation of its youngest scholars (Kindergarten learners). Ms. Bermejo’s theological training and newly earned LPT status will bring a unique, spiritually grounded, and highly competent perspective to the classroom. Our basic education students will benefit greatly from her passion and recent academic excellence.
"Ms. Bermejo exemplifies the BBSI alumnus: academically rigorous and spiritually grounded,” said Rev. Antonio Yadao Jr. VPAA. “Having her return as a faculty member is a true blessing, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact she will make on our basic education program.”
As Ms. Bermejo makes this transition from student to mentor, we lift her up in prayer. Her journey serves as an inspiration to all current students, showing that faith, combined with diligent academic pursuit, leads to a life of purposeful service.
Welcome to the faculty, Ms. Bermejo! May your tenure at BBSI be a long and fruitful one.
To God be all the glory!
